For those that missed the Phil Wicks event at Autobahn you missed a good one. A large number of MINI's and a few Mini's sprinkled in. Cars from all over the Midwest and few from a bit farther. It was hot, but was so much fun.

Mark, it was great to finally meet you. All the Audi Club guys I have met have been good people, and tremendous drivers. I'm sure I'll see you at a future event.

Mark, thanks again for being my instructor at Autobahn on Saturday and for being so patient with me! It sure was an interesting experience, and, believe it or not, I was able to do a LOT better on Sunday...even with the extreme heat and a change in instructors midway thru the day!

No problem Jeff - I was out in your group with another student on Sunday and noticed that you were driving a very clean line. Good work!!!

 

Truth be said, I found the South course easier to drive, even with more turns. It just seemed more forgiving to me than the North course...although that Cobra guy might dispute that....

 

Thanks for the nice comment! I had the only Cooper in the Intermediate group...looks as if I may have to break down and get an S so I can be more competitive, though. It really sucked being passed all day both days.

 

I hear ya - it just interrupts your flow to have to be constantly moving off line to let people by, especially when you're trying to learn a brand new track.
