Some people suck royally

"Loosing my hope in mankind one person at a time". I love this saying.

Last w/e I took three hours detailing Bloo, washing/waxing, vaccuming, I mean everything was sooooo purty.

Left to a friend's birthday party at 12 noon and came home around 5 pm. Bloo's butt was dirty so I gave it a quick wash/dry. Parked it right out in front of my home, in front of my windows, mind you.

Sunday morning comes around and at 9am as I always do I took my son to breakfast. Low and behold someone had egged Bloo. One nice clean shot at the front bonnet fender. Cracked the paint and the proteins in the egg ate away the paint to the primer around the cracks.

Can you $#@%&^*#! believe it? What the *&$#@#! is wrong with people? Can't someone enjoy something they love and work hard to achieve without someone stomping on them?

Geez!

Rant over. Sorry gotta vent.

Luis

I suppose you're going to pony up the cash for lectric bloo's new Mini abode? That certainly swell of you.

lectric, sorry to hear about your paint, that really stinks. There's nothing worse than having your personal stuff treated like garbage. Good luck with the re-paint....

(with "Dust in the Wind" playing in the back ground) You're my boy, bloo!
Seriously though, that does suck. I hope you catch whoever did it and give them the business.

Love to, but.... the garage belongs to my MGB and my Bug. Besides I'm constantly going in and out.

So there, Mr. smarty pants

Actually, I've thought of parking Bloo in the backyard but I would probably start to kill the grass. At least I found out that most of the neighbors have had an egg or two thrown at their cars, so it wasn't something personal. I'd love to find that little piece of........... in the word of Tony Montana, "oye Manolo. Kill dis piece o' chi...."

BTW, thanks for the sympathy. I had to blow it out. If my wife hears me whinning again about it, a lawyer will probably knock on my door.

So pissed!

Very upsetting. I had some bozo throw a stick at my bonnet once (I think I know who it may have been, and I think they were drunk, but I know they are a bozo). Left some scuffed paint and two small dents. Shockingly, StratchX did a fantastic job on the paint problems and my PDR guy fixed the dents while I waited! I was really mad at the time, so vent away!!!

When I first got my MCoupe someone doused the whole driver's side with the contents of a "spit bottle". A few weeks later someone kicked my rear window pillar in with a shoe and left a dent the size of a softball. No if I had screwed over some business partners or f...... someone elses wife, I could remotely imagine such idiotic behaviors, but to do **** like that out of pure envy is just iditotic. But unfortunately the world is full of jackholes.
Hope you can get this polished out.
Cheers,
H

NO NO NO!!! How could they? Especially to electric blue? The BEST color a mini can be? :( I'm sorry about what happened. I can sympathize over getting irritated about the dirt showing up so quickly, but i didn't realize the story would end up that way.

Maybe you should consider making a special parking spot for your mini in the back yard. Make a pretty garden out of it, and put little mini parking only signs up.

People do suck... many of them. Completely inconsiderate morons. I feel for you. See my gallery for a picture of the ding that I received about two weeks after receiving my beloved MCS... Prestige MINI in NJ told me $150.00 for it to be removed by a "specialist." Ugh. I may do the job myself.

Bloo:

Needless to say, the people here in Miami suck ***** big time. People here are inconsiderate, rude and obnoxious savages. I don't know if it is the heat that brings the beast out of the people that inhabit this city, but I learned to keep my eyes and ears open and on the look out for them.

Miami has horrible drivers, horrible parkers (I always park far, far, far away when going to the malls, store, etc) and some of them are losers.

I feel sorry for your car. I have seen it a couple of times in person and I know first hand how nice you keep it.

In Miami having a nice car parked in front of a home is just asking for vandalism/theft. If I were you I would cut, burn the grass in the back yard and create a nice and safe parking spot for the car.

Unfortunately, it will keep happening unless you move out of your neighboorhood.

Call an independent PDR shop. That quote you got from the dealer includes at least $50 profit for them. Most dings can be professionally removed for $50-$100 tops, depending on the location.

Dent removal is a job for trained professionals, not casual DIY'ers. Whatever you do, don't let an untrained person on the art of PDR remove that ding for you!

So sorry to hear about this...yes - some people REALLY suck....I feel for you...Just remember, every dog has it's day.....what goes around comes around....

My Cabrio was just a month old and some considerate person keyed the entire left side to the tune of $2500....

I hope yours is as good as new soon...

bloo, I feel for ya.

In the past (my younger days), when wronged liked that, I had enough **** and vinegar in me to recreate the scene, along with an addition - ME!

Let's just say that those buckaroos I caught and/or fought probably never did such a thing again. While gratifying to a point, minutes afterwards, I didn't like my response. It is good to vent, and I'm glad to see you do it here...

I feel that it's just best to avoid those situations where such opportunites are more likely to occur. Heck, that's one of the reasons I moved into a rural area!

Best to you and your MINI!

I am a landscape architect and owner of an EB/B who also spends inordinate amounts of time detailing my ride...send me your plot plan and I would be glad to take a look at creating a special parking space in the back yard for your ride I can send you my company website for portfolio or PM me.

sounds like all your cars could use it during the rotation!

Wowzers. Hearing some of the stories here and what some of you have gone through makes me feel ridiculous in comparison. KEYING? I think I'd faint.

C4: I do live in a great neighborhood. Everyone is friendly. Takes care of their homes, families. Couldn't move out anyway. Can't afford the taxes of a new house elsewhere.

It would suck if its one of the neighborhood kids. I usually am the one they take their bike to if it needs fixing, air, etc. Kids play basketball on my court and we've generally fed and watered down almost all at sometime in the past. I guess it just rakes my a$$ that I'm generally a good person, do no harm to my fellow man, try to be helpful to all, and still get **** thrown in my direction for no reason. But, alas, I see I'm not the only one. I feel in good company at least.

Thank you all for your ideas (although a special landscaped area for Bloo around back would be nice, I don't think so), your sympathy and your ear to vent to.

Luis in Miami
(and yes, most people suck in Miami, I don't care what the tourist bureau says)

ZAKdog, I was actually thinking about a rotating platform with powerful halogen spotlamps coming at all angles. The car could be lifted and lowered hydraulicly so you can see the spotless suspension componets. The floor has to be mirrored glass and the sound of music should be heard softly in the background.

I can see it now.

Neighbors would have a cow about the continous music and lightshow, tho.
