In CarandDriver's July 2002 road test of the MCS, they complained, "The accelerator pedal...emits a nasty metal-to-metal clack every time it meets the fire wall."

Actually, this doesn't bother me. When you hear it it's easy to tell that it's floored. What do you think?

 

Mine does not clack. The fact it stops moving clues me in that I'm at WOT
The pedal does make a slight creaking noise from time to time though.

 

I always demonstrate that to my friends and tell them that the sound is music to every MINI driver's ears.

 

My shoes squeaking doesn't bug me...so
