R50/53 The MINI Experience - Thursday
I parked my MCS (having just got a gorgeous car wash!!) on the third floor of our office underground. It's the "smokers' lounge" floor. You know what I mean. I think there used to be a couch, but someone gave it a better home!
As I parked, one of the 3rd floor dwellers came up to me to talk about the car. Said he'd been hoping to meet the owner.
People love to look at, and talk about the MINI. And it seems that most people either had a Mini, drove a Mini, or their uncle had a Mini, somewhere, some time.
The car blows people away. I encourage friendly, enquisitive strangers (in known environments) to sit in the driver's side and check out the dash. I love to see their faces when they comprehend the layout!
Bottom line? I love a clean MINI in a parking lot that's otherwise filled with filth (half of which are SUVs and vans). The suds-job is only good for a few hours, though - the road home in Toronto's winter sucks!
