04 MCS DS/W $18,900 OBO Ohio

2004 Mini Cooper S For Sale:

$18,900 OBO

24,900 miles

Features in Mini speak: DS/W, Lthrette/Anth int, DSC, MFSW, OBC, CWP, CD, 16” V spoke (silver) GRMFM (FO).

In the normal world: Dark Silver exterior with White roof/mirrors, leatherette (vinyl) seats with Anthracite (dark gray) interior panels, Dynamic Stability Control, Multi-Function Steering Wheel (includes cruise control and steering wheel radio controls), On Board Computer (average mileage, speed, etc), Cold Weather Package (heated seats and mirrors), single disc CD player, 16” V spoke wheels in silver with Dunlop run flat tires, Genuine Rubber Mini Floor Mats (front only).

Standard features: 1.6l 163 hp supercharged engine, 6 speed manual transmission, ABS, front, side and side curtain airbags (that’s two airbags per foot of car), speed sensitive radio and wipers (you can turn these off and on), keyless entry, pre-tensioner front belts with buckle pre-tensioners (giving a 4 star NHTSA crash rating and IIHS “best pick” for frontal crash), and sport seats.

I bought this car new in December, 2003, and it has the balance of the 3 year/36,000 free maintenance and the 4 year/50,000 mile warranty. The tires are starting to wear, and although there is decent tread left, they are noisy on some road surfaces. There’s a small ding in the driver’s door, and a scratch on the shifter escutcheon, but otherwise it’s in fine shape. I’m only selling it because I’m now getting a company car.

I’ll also include a box full of memorabilia (miniorabilia?), such as ads (including the truly odd “Men of Metal”), freebies, brochures, and an ’05 press kit.

Located in Dublin (NW of Columbus), Ohio. I’m at 614-873-7805.

Nice car. If it was black I'd be in trouble...

One question out of curiosity: Why do people get a company car and then sell their own car? Especially a car that would be a perfect "weekend car" like an MCS?

Dark grey is like black, but looks better (or less bad) when dirty

As for the company car, I can say that for me, the Mini is a bit pricey to keep as a third car. And if I were to have a third car, it would probably be something less practical, like a convertible (I kind of like the Toyota MR2 Spyder, mmm... mid engine...)

I can not believe someone hasn't jumped on this car yet! Good looking car, fairly low mileage, and what seems to be a good price. What more could a person ask for?

Yes! That's what I thought! Honestly, I tried to price this to move, because I hate dragging a car sale out for weeks or months. I compared book values, looked at ebay completed auctions... maybe it's just timing: A fellow is coming to look at it tomorrow night.

All this, and a bump.
