Email from Hendrick
Email from Hendrick
I got an email from Dana@Hendrickauto.com. I think that was the actual email address. I've deleted the email so I can't verify. Anyways, there was a document attached that had a really long name comprised of numbers mainly. It was not very large and would not display. At the end of the name was something about Phil Wick's Ultimate Driving.

I called and spoke with Danna at Hendrick MINI. The email she sent out was to service customers of Hendrick that they have email addresses for.
She told me the system through BMW MINI that they use is difficult to do attachments with. She is trying to get it worked out.
The email is about an upcoming Phil Wicks School that Hendrick MINI is sponsoring.

The email was in regard to Phil Wicks driving school...someone needs to talk to Hendrick MINI, because I almost deleted it due to the fact that it looks like a virus message.
I had no problems opening it...but, it was basically an advertisement for the Phil Wicks Driving School in Kershaw. Has anyone attended the Phil Wicks school in the past? Is anyone planning on attending?

I know exactly what an HPDE is, and what it's worth. By comparing it to somewhere like Skippy or Bondurant you're showing that you don't - or either you're trying to talk down to me.
Now, if they come back and say I'll get 3+ hours per day or that registration is limited to 50 people, or something along those lines I'll change my mind.

You don't get a dedicated instructor, only 1 per 2-3 cars so they rotate around.
Having never gone to the Wick's school, I can't say if it's "overpriced" or not. What I can say is that they seem to have no problem filling the schools at their asking price and they've got plenty of repeat business. This tells me, while there may be less expensive schools out there, the Wick's school must be doing something right to maintain this continued performance.

I have been to NASA events, other private clubs, and Phil Wick's HPDEs
I'll be back for Phil Wick's for several reasons:
1. Size- small, think "Private" ( NASA is dangerously crowded, 120-140 )
2. Cars- similar - I like that, more fun factor, instant friends
3. Friendly - Everyone is held at the same level, loose atmosphere
4. Large "visitor" high HP cars are instant targets to chase and pass
