OK, just spoke with the BMW CCA. You do have to be a member to go to the school. I think it's $35 a year and well worth it. You get a monthly mag and a local news letter that depends on your chapter.
Each day of school is $150. that's about par for the course. A weekend school is usually just under $300. You have to designate what day you want or they will put you in whichever one they want to put you in. They also have autocross going on at VIR that week and it's much cheaper but, I know nothing about that so you'll have to read up on how it's being run.

Just found your post. I'll be at the Monday and Wednesday VIR driving school events and the Tuesday autocross. There is at least one other MINI I know of who plans to be at the Monday event.
