FS: Leda Coilovers
FS: Leda Coilovers/SOLD
Leda sport model coilovers for $1050 shipped in the U.S. The fronts come with 250 lb. barrel springs designed by Leda for the MINI, spring hats & shaft nuts and cut down bump stops that will accommodate the stock dust boots. The rears come with 275 lb. Hypercoil springs, bump stops, spring hats, Leda dust boots and the stock MCS guide supports attached. The package also includes suspension wrenches and an extra set of 350 lb. Hypercoil springs for the rears. There is a caveat in that one of the rear shocks has a sheared allen key in the shaft slot. All shocks have been rebuilt and have only 200 miles on them since.
Here are answers to some questions I’m receiving about the Ledas. The allen slot is for holding the shaft while turning the top nut. The work around for the shaft with stuck key is an impact wrench.
There are some minor rust spots on the rear shocks; however, the condition of the working parts is excellent. The value of the recent rebuilds is over $350 plus a $65 front shaft replacement and means they are functionally like new.
The extra Hypercoil spring set has a retail value of $150. The 350 lb. rate would benefit those wanting added turn-in. I found the stiffer springs a bit much for street use.
The front barrel springs have an advantage over conventional wound springs in that they can compress further (increased travel) without binding, a plus with extreme lowering.
The ***** on the Sport Model Ledas are very easy to reach and with 24 positions a setting can be found for almost every situation.

I have a nicer pair of flips for ya. Race proven. Heard from our buddy in Denver lately. Still waiting for a reply on his new and improved site. I guess he finally got his Lotus. Have fun at the Glen and good luck.
I just put some of these on....
and they will take longer to set up (height, dampening), but even setting them at the same height as the H-Sport springs it's an improvement.....
Good deal on the struts....
