Congrats, Lot15!

Congrats to Lotsie for being named Coordinator for the Canada forum! Way to go, sweetie! You have oftentimes been a lone wolf in the Big Northern wilderness! Cheers to you for sticking it out and representing CANADA!

Lottie will really need to kick our Canadian butts if he wants something to do!! There is less than one new thread per week on the Canada Forum!!

I think I'll start a little street-racing thread and see if he is awake!! Should be able to get in a dozen or so outrageous replies before he comes back from work!!

First,I'm honored, and promise to put a space after each comma. Oh geez, guess I blew that

Poco and I, along with the Black Lab Navigator[Ruby], are coming up on 2 years and 50K miles.

I saw some spy shots of the new MINI in 2000, or so, and I new I wanted one. I had a 70 Mini, bought it used, and drove it for 2 years,in the mid 70's. Built a roof rack for it so I could haul doors and windows, along with some toolboxes, to do, well, door and window installs. It was a toolbox on wheels.

I loved that car, in the day, it was common, but not really accepted here in 1/2 ton land. I did not much care, I could load the car, putt about, and get my work done. Plus it was so much fun in the snow

Since then I've owned 20 or so cars, trucks, and vans. Only one that stands out was a 78 Renault Nordic wagon. Owned that in the mid 80's. At the time I was a pro crosscountry ski coach, instructor, race official. Another great winter car.

Poco is the first new car I have owned, and even though he is about to hit 50K miles, it's still the least miles on a car I have ever owned. Most I sent to the big shredder

I get kidded by my buds at work that I spend so much time detailing my MC. They also know how much time I spend on this site, and suggest I get a life. Well I can't off-road like their 4x4's can, nor am I going to bother trying to keep up with their Mustangs and Vettes off the line, but they all know that non of them stand a chance in any twisties or off/on ramps

So, here I'am, going to do my best doing this, and now lets all go for a motor:smile:

Way to go lottsie!!!

It’s great to see you as the spokesman/women for Canada.

I have to be politically correct or I’ll get my A$$ jumped on theses days. Especially from the Canadians.

For the fact it was a mistake and could NOT delete it.

The only reason… I don't have the powers to do so.

Get it.

Just incase no one picked up to this yet, I didn’t mean to make that post there, but tried to delete it!!

OK.

You get it?

Hey I can write in others posts. Oh the power
Lot15,

Hey, does this mean Lot has power over us border state people too? Man, I gotta get on his good side - fast! At least until his fingers get too cold to type!

Way to go Lot. Congratulations! They couldn't have picked a better person as the Canadian Moderator. (Well they probably could have if they could have found one) Heh heh. Just kidding!

Hey ya there 'NoDak PAt' : Noticed you're from Garnd Forks. My current girlfriend is from there. She frequents G.F every so often. I'm over in Kelowna. So I thinks so far, you're the closest living member to me of this club. If you're ever in town here, give me a holler. I've always been wanting to get ahold of a bunch of MINI/mini owners from around here and get a club going, get some races together, meets, and so on. I know there are about a dozen new MINI owners in Kelowna, but none on here yet, that I've seen.
Anywho, welcome to the club, maybe we'll see more of eachother.
Cheers,

Oops. Just saw on your posting window that you're not in Grand Forks, B.C, are you? Don't know where N.D is. Pardon my bad geography.
Just went back and saw that.
So after all that, is there anyone on this site that is around B.C, closer than the lower mainland? There's gotta be someone. Hello?
Cheerio,

I went to Canada once. It was cold there.
I'm very impressed that you folks can type with mittens on!
Quick, a rousing chorus of 'Oh Canada' (hey, shouldn't it be 'Eh Canada'?)
Lot - you can lead the group!

Cheerio,
N.D would be North Dakota, about 1600 KM's southeast of you. But it's always nice to invite others

I say one day all us western MINI folk get together. I'm in Manitoba, and I could get to your place in under 24 hours.
How about we all meet up in Jasper, or Invemere.

Lois, I think you're the closest coordinator to me, so does that mean you're the boss of me or what? Somebodies gotta get me under control!

That might be tough going. Coordinating all of Canada is a big job, Quebec alone would keep Lot tied up for the next decade. But hey, even coordinators have to party once in a while.

Once my NAM gas and lodging allowance kicks in, I'm motoring wherever I'm needed.[Hey DiD, there is a per diem, eh]
