Actually, very little Oxford is churning out these babies at an alarmingly fast rate, so you better be sure your car is configured the exact way you want it because it will be built before you know it.

Just to give you an idea, I ordered my '05 MCS on 1/24/05, it was built/finished 2/19/05 and took delivery 3/21/05

Hang in there!

I got my car exactly one month from order. But relax..the Owner's Lounge and ASK MINI phone service were both late on the status of my car.

So welcome to the club...we're all that way here. Perfectly normal. You'll want to be a little crazy when you start to Zaino anyway.

I hope you got some good sleep before you ordered because you're fixin' to have some restless nights, my friend.

Actually 8 weeks was pretty fast

Some people are getting their MINIs in 4-6 weeks so the wait times are indeed getting shorter.

Do you know how long I waited for my first '04 MCS? 10 MONTHS!

Ordered January 2003, Built early September 2003 and delivered early October 2003.

Talk about a long wait!

Back then, waiting times at my dealer ran into 6-8 months

How times have changed!

Its down right torture I tell you Having to wait for your mini this long I that is.

In the mean time I am already shopping for mods.. wheels, suspension, etc etc..

I think I settled on these wheels so far. Since I orderd a JB/MCS I figure this is pretty much how mine will look. I have some other appearence mods in mind too

I know exactly how you feel. I went through the same thing myself, but Instead, I abandoned the order and bought one off the lot at an East Coast dealer.

The wait was 14 months when I first was going to purchase one.

We decided to shop around for a lightly used one. After a month of daily research and shopping, I found a suitable one in Ohio, so we flew out a week after we bought it, and drove it back to Oregon.

EXACTLY.
It seems like back in the old days it took so much longer.
I ordered DeeDee in April of '02 and didn't take delivery until August 3rd.

This time around it's a WAY different experience so far...
I ordered Boo on May 13th and he was built and assigned to a boat as of last Friday. I feel like it's all happening so fast...I still need time to sell my Cooper!!

STRESS!!!!!!!!!!

I hear ya. I'm selling my truck before the Mini arrives. Luckily I found a buyer that really wants to buy it but doesnt exactly have all the money together so he asked I hold the truck for a month or so. WOrks out perfect.

And then you have break-in time!

Our wait was hell, a few months that were like years... the worst part was keeping the revs low and without WOT during the break-in period, now that was a dark hell partly made easier with the help of NAM listening to me whine... oh but it was worth it even more than I ever drempt...
