My toggle switch for the door lock/unlock stopped working correctly this morning. It'll unlock the doors but won't lock them.

My dealer isn't open at all on the weekend so I will have to take off from work to go get it fixed. They're having a MINI Mania event tomorrow but no techs will be there (how dumb is that).

Has anyone had this happen and if so what was the fix?

Did you leave your windows open overnight or got your interior wet? One of my neighbors (who bought a Mini because I bought on), left their sunroof open and it rained overnight. Parts of their switch panel stopped working for a few days until everything dried out. One of them was the door lock switch.

Hope it's that simple.....

 

I had a similar problem. My passenger door would lock and unlock with the keyfob, but the driver's side door wouldn't lock. Only unlock. At first I thought it might be the lock's electric motor - but once I manually pushed the lock *** down and used the fob to unlock it several times, it seems to have reset itself and fixed the problem.

Try it... I think it might be a question of the lock *** just getting out of alignment or something physical like that.

Apparantly it just needed some time to recuperate. Came out to the car after work and its working fine again. Must not have wanted me to lock her this morning. Thanks for the replies!
