Wheel/Tire Trades
Wheel/Tire Trades
I just drove past a Used 03 MC parked at a Honda dealer's lot. The car has 17" R90's; dont know the condition of the tires, but doubt they are 'like new'.
What do you think the probability is of that dealer trading wheel/tires for the 16" ones that come stock on the 05 MCS w/ the all season run flats w/ 800 miles on them?

You'll never know until you ask! he worst they can say is "no."
Some time back, I spotted a VW Golf on a used car lot that had a roof rack on it that I had always wanted on the GTi I had at the time. I stopped and asked if they were interested in selling it seperate from the car. They told me if I could find a way to get it off the car (it had locks - but no keys), they'd sell it to me. I took the car to a locksmith, had new keys made for the locks, and in an hour had a new roof rack at a great price!
Go for it!

Check the R90s for damage. Check the tires as well, likely 205/45-17 and could be runflats. The R90s are heavy at 24 pounds each vs the 17.6 pound X-lytes you have now.
The 17" R90s should be two piece with bolts along the rim edge while the 16" R90 is one piece and has no bolts, just the spoke pattern.
