What's the weight of your MINI?

During the covered bridge run a few weeks ago, I had a chance to drive my car onto a scale. It was a whopping 3190 lb. MY 04 MCSC is overweight, albeit there were 2 people in the car with a full tank of gas and some electronics like subwoofer, amp, etc... I need to devise a diet plan for my MINI and ME.

What's the weight of your MINI?

I don't know exactly...but I have a Cooper w/o sunroof, w/ standard lights, and w/ OEM 7-hole wheels. A lightweight combo...loads of fun!! I do have sport seats....and need 'em!!!

That's comforting to know. Between my passenger and me, we are about 300 lb, which means the car would be around 2900 lb. Considering 2679 lb unladen weight according to the MINI technical data for MCS, 2900 lb is reasonable.

I wonder what "UNLADEN" weight means? Dry weight? Without gas and other fluids?

unladen usually means dry weight. Wet weight is typically referred to as curb weight although this will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer

All I know for certain is that it's currently about 260 pounds lighter.

Mine's pretty light sitting on the ship right now. It'll gain a few more ounces once the dealer puts the bonnet stripes and AUX input on/in the car.

Then add gas and 190 lbs of me and I'll be driving a happy MCS.
