My hubby (mbabischkin) and I are moving into Petaluma this October. As a result, we are planning on visiting June 9th to the 13th to scout out a few things....we'd love to meet you folks so we can get invovled in MINI things in Cali......

Welome to Sonoma County. I look forward to your involvement in our little club.

I don't know whether we will be able to get a group run together when you are here... we have a busy schedule in May, June, & July (see http://redwoodempiremini.com/calendar.htm), but we do have a memeber in Petaluma, and I could likely escape from Healdsburg while you are here.
If you can stretch your trip to June 19th, we will be joining PDX MINI on a run throught Mendocino and Humbolt Counties into southern Oregon.

Old Chicago Pizza in downtown Petaluma is great if you eat pizza. We only get there about once ot twice a year, but it would be a fun place to meet sometime in the future.... but then again, Petaluma is the restaurant capital of Sonoma County... lots of great places to eat.

I don't think we will have time for a drive (forgetting the fact that our MINI will still be on the east coast) --- we have those pesky details to work out, like place to live -- stuff like that. SO, what about dinner?

Would a few of you kids get together and meet us for dinner -- introduce yourself??

You might also post your preferable night here and on the message board at our meetup site. If it were on a Friday or Saturday night, I bet we could get a pretty fair turnout. I am sure that I can get my wife and 2 daughters to a dinner out in Petaluma that weekend.

Do you know of a place to meet (do you know the area yet) or do you want advice as to a restaurant?
Do you already know the Petaluma area, or do you need some advice re: better areas for real estate investment? I am sure that you can get all kinds of unsolicited advice if you let your guard down hehehe.

Ok, I need to explain. Last time my feet touched California I was 6. I was in San Francisco and Big Sur and Carmel. That's it and is based on the random memories of a 6 year old. Michael has been there more recently, but his experience was pretty limited to the Coast Guard Base at Two Rocks. SO ---- unsolicited advice....well, isn't that unsolicited --- HELP!!!!
