2005 MC Exhaust!?!?!?!?

What fits? Did they change the hangers? Borla? Milltek? Remus? Helix?

Does anyone have a new build MC with an exhaust?

MCS Exhaust

Hi,

I work in the parts department at a MINI dealer (tough job but somebody's gotta do it ). We have seen just about everything on the market. It IS a personal choice but from what I've seen BORLA stands head and shoulders above the rest. 304 stainless steel, 25+ years experience, USA made, great price and available all over the place. Also, heaven-forbid, should you ever hurt your MINI you can get another BORLA easily. BORLA part # 140119 for "Sport" sound part # 140120 (both for '05 Hardtop S models) for "Street sound. We've seen other brands not be available for fix's. MCS's built from 02/'02-12/'04 had the same exhaust hangers (actually the direction of the rods on the exhaust that the hangers attach to), 01/'04-06/'04 are the different, 07/'04 -current are the same as late '04 EXCEPT for CABRIOS whose exhaust has a slight bend at the rear to clear a cross brace.

So, that's only for the "S"? I have a regular Cooper. Is all the talk about exhaust hangers for the "S" or has something changed on the regular Cooper as well? The Borla for the MC is advertised as being for the '02-'03 models only. Will it fit the '05?

Yea, that's kind of what I was thinking, but I have never installed an exhaust before and I don't want to get half way thru it only to have to re-install the stock exhuast or twist-tie the thing up there... You know? If I have a choice I would like to go with the setup that fits perfectly, over one that requires some... engineering?
