Sorry for this stupid question re: seats
I finally found the adjustment for my driver's seat that I think is right for me (it only took me 3-1/2 months
). I used to have the seat pumped up all the way up, but now I sit with it pumped down 4 times. And because I don't want to risk ruining this sweet spot, instead of checking myself I was wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question (stupid as it is): How many pumps does it take to go from the highest seat position to the lowest? I'm guessing 6 or 7. Anyone know or anyone who doesn't mind messing up their seat setting to check? I'm just curious to know how much more leeway I have to go even lower.

There are no stupid questions, but you may get stupid responces
I just went out and checked, lucky for you it's not -35 here
14 pumps,up and down. And you can stop mid pump. The seat lifts and seems to tilt forward on the up stroke, and lowers and tilts back on the down stroke.
I have my seat all the way down,so finding my sweet spot is not a problem:smile:.
I sure feels weird all the way up,kind of like seating in a school bus

Don't you love MINI fanatics
On (automatic) GBMINI#3 I have found I have the seat somewhat lower than (manual) GBMINI#2 - presumably due to no longer needing to reach for the clutch. But I always prefer a somewhat high seating position.
Nothing, though, compares with the Sparco seats in Jaysons MINI, complete with four point belts - you felt like you were part of the car

Okay, once again someone asks a "stupid" question that I certainly did not know the answer to, and......fess up.......if Lot hadn't checked I'll bet most of us wouldn't have known either. So, I hereby disqualify this as a stupid question when, in fact, it was a darn good question. Rennie is exonerated!!!
We'll just have to try harder. Hey I've got one...have you seen the MINI with the boobies painted on the bonnet?!?!?!?!

Whenever anyone asks me if I enjoy my car, I say I'm having an incredibly torrid affair with it - but this is taking it to a whole new level...
By the way, my Sparco seat is about 2 strokes below all-the-way-down, which is where I sat before I got it.
Gotta make up for that sunroof somehow
