WTB: Front license plate bracket for Red '03 Cooper

I am looking to replace the front license plate bracket on my car (2003 Cooper, chili red). I had a minor parking garage mishap, and luckily 90% of the damage was sustained by this replaceable part. I'm hoping that someone who lives in a state that doesn't require a front plate will have one of these sitting in their garage unused.

I'd be willing to pay whatever you think is a fair price, within reason.

Thanks!
Chris

If I can find mine, you can have it for free.. just pay shipping to get it there from MI. I'll dig through the garage this afternoon.

Holy crap.

I just went hunting for my thread and couldn't find it in the marketplace forum. I did a search and found it in "Navigation and Audio"! Hmm... time to PM a mod.

Thread moved to marketplace from Nav/audio (probably just a mouse slip).

Hey Stefanie, ever find it? No hurry, just didn't want this thread to drop too far down.

Cheers,
Chris

licence plate bracket, are you insane? and throw off the lines with an ugly plate????

zip tie the plate to you passenger side sun visor.

pass a cop, flip it down, it never fails!

I have yet to put on my plate. I hope i never have to.

HOWEVER, I do like the idea of it taking the damage.

Hopefully this Bill passes in Texas. Its already passed the House, now on to the state Senate for approval then we'll have NO MORE FRONT PLATE LAW(as of 9/1/05!)

That would fail in Massachusetts. We aren't even allowed to have clear plastic license plate covers, much less display the plates from inside the car. I park in the city all the time, so not complying with this would just be tossing up a softball for any passing officer, metermaid, etc.

And yes, we're required to have front plates. The bracket piece is painted the body color of the car.

I think you can see the painted piece I'm talking about in this photo, although this is silk green:

It came that way. Are they really just black now, even the parts that extend out on either side from the plate?
