I picked up my MCSa from Dreyer & Reinbold about a month ago, and just filled out the signup form for MINICCI tonight. My MINI is pure silver / black, and is a blast to drive.
I know you guys have a cookout scheduled for the F1 races, but is anyone planning to go to King's Island on the 18th? I know a few clubs are going in groups, but didn't seen a thread about it here. Nobody seems to have any definite information on if there will be perks for MINI owners, either.
I look forward to meeting some of you at the monthly gatherings; I'm glad you guys meet on Sundays/Mondays usually as those are my days off. I'll probably be at the June 13th gathering, as I can't make either of them this month.

 

Most of us will be participating in Formula 1 events around here and avoiding the rumurred $50 price tag.

Of course, I say that and I'm also sure that a drive down there will be organized by someone (not me ) in the not so distant future.

The event price is going to be $50. This will include admission to the regular park and the water park, parking, and catered breakfast and dinner. We will have the ride to ourselves for the first hour of the day. Opening is at 10:00am. I was wanting to go but we have the F1 weekend thing going on and I am not willing to pay $50 for getting into the park, food I probably cannot eat, a water park I will not use......and to help them promote their ride!! I don't feel that is a bargin. They were made aware of a couple of fairly large events that would be the same weekend and were not willing to change the date. That really doesn't make me want to change all my plans around.

Ok rant over............and just my 2 cents.

 

Yeah I don't plan on going for $50. I'll be living in Cincy this summer so if anyone wants to stop by and go in a smaller group maybe we could get something together at a more convienent time.

 

Anywhere near Bogart's ? jk.. I do like that venue though, just notthe walk from the Vernon Manor to the venue.. as a small white girl, that's a VERY scary walk.

 

I will be at D&R on Friday afternoon (6/17) passing through to the PKI event.

A group from Chicago will be meeting up with a group from MINIsota to motor on the last leg together. We hope to get there around 1pm or so, and probably will stop somewhere for a late lunch before proceeding.

It'd be great to go in a caravan, but unfortunately I have to work until 1am Friday night, and won't be leaving for PKI until Saturday morning. I'll probably get to the park with my Mini-load of friends around 9:30-10:00.

MINI CCI folk -- local Meijer stores are selling discounted tickets for PKI @ $26/each, good for any time this season. I'm planning on going on July 5 (for Jenn's b-day)
