I recently posted that I had not seen any PW/PW MINIs on NAM. I was quickly enlightened. And here again. A subtle color combination. Those wheels look very good on your car. Because they look so good and your choice for replacements will be identical then why not just retain the existing and not bother? I can understand why you might wish to have a set of wheels on display in your living room, but are you certain, in this case, that Rotas are appropriate? Seriously, I wonder if the Rotas are too light for everyday street driving and so you feel you need an extra set just in case. Good luck selling them.

The ones in the pictures that are ON the car were stolen so i had to get replacements. I bought the Bronze ones so i could have a new set imediately for the upcoming autocross season, but then i found out i could get the old color like i used to have it. I just had to wait a little bit for them to be custom made. Thats why i have the bronze ones as extra now.

Here are the replacements in Full Royal Sports Bronze

Thanx though!

Stolen? Someone bothered to steal your wheels without taking the entire car?! On the one hand it's good that you have your car, but on the other hand it must have been a shock to see the car without its wheels. I hope they weren't stolen to be used on another MINI. That would be like incest--well, not quite. The Rotas sure look good on that car.

Yup, one afternoon i walked out and my poor MINI was sitting on two blocks for the front disks. The rear of the car was sitting on the ground. Luckily there was no damage to the car.

No wheel locks, didn't think people would think to steal them since their rather inexpensive wheels for autox and pretty much dead Azenis. The stock MINI xlites are worth twice as much.

Getting the Alarm on the 05' for sure now

Only have people that saw the car before and after but no during

At first we thought it was done in the middle of the morning, but later found out that the time period where they were taken was about 4am.

I was wondering what wheels were on mine. I only knew they were light. Looks like the same wheel (except 15" and black) as mine. They have been great!

Exactly and exactly and ouch. A. Why would anyone steal the wheels at all unless they were super expensive or...? B. If folks don't steal Xlites (not my favorite wheel design) then what gives? C. Alarm and wheel locks are such an inconvenience (Harleys and street people in my town love to set off alarms late night and I have had wheel locks "misplaced" by mechanics). A sad state of affairs.

A. Perhaps those specific Rotas fit other, more popular brand cars (such as Honda or Toyota?). If that is so then locks would be necessary. That might make sense in view of B (has anyone on NAM reported stolen stock rims?). Perhaps another question to ask when looking at after market wheels is whether they are MINI exlusives or what other car makes they would fit. An alternative might be to select wheels that are so ugly no one would want them, but that would be unMINI. What a world. Why can't everybody be more like me?

Honda's, Acura's, and MINI's share the same bolt pattern. So pretty much any aftermarket wheel that fits a MINI will fit Honda's and Acura's.

I now have MINI wheel locks ready to go on when i get my 05'.

These are terrific wheels, I have them, powder coated white on my '05 MCS as replacements for the runflats and they make an incredible difference. Good luck selling them.

I also like those wheels, but am even more impressed by the quality of pavers in Thameth's driveway. That's a premium detail.

Not dissing you, but you can get Rotas with the 56.1mm hub so you don't need a hub centric ring and you can get new Rotas all day long for $450.

Why thank you Just had them re-done 3 weeks ago, the MINI needed some more breathing space in the driveway.

I'm not trying to make a profit on these, just trying to get them out of my garage without a huge loss.

Please get you stuff straight before you try to go ruin someone's for sale thread.

I do have my facts straight as I ordered these from http://www.jlbmotorsports.com/rota-rims.html. 56.1 hubs at 40mm offset in 16x7 in stock for $450

Not taking sides, current price at that web site for 16x7x40 was $435 plus $60 for shipping. Total price $495 and you can pick the color.

Just my opinon, but you shouldn't expect to sell wheels as a private party for the same price you can buy them for from an established retailer. If I buy from a retailer I can return them if not satisfied. Buying from a private party has a greater risk that can often be offset by saving money. How much is up to each person and their comfort level.

Just my $.02
