I bought and installed a new bypass valve from Detroit Tuned (BTW 
) and have my '03 valve with 40K miles if anyone wants it. Let me know and I'll sell it to you for cheap

Nothing wrong with it, but you could probably adjust it so there is absolutely go gap and add the stiffer spring then re-use or sell it.
