I'm due to pick up my MCS from Dreyer on or around June 1st. That leaves me about 10 days to do the break-in if I wanna do this track day. ;-)

Anyone know if it's sold out, yet?

Darn, the link is dead (well currently anyway). Do you know what the cost and signup info is? This would be a great class to take!

Pricing says $225-Genereal or $200 if you are a member of a recognized (?) MINI/Mini club. I have sent an email to find out what/who they consider to be a recognized club. Will post when I have any info.

Google's cache to the rescue!

$225 per day, or $200 per day "for members of recognized Classic or New Mini Clubs". $25 discount for registering for both days.

It's west of Indy in Putnam County. It is near Cloverdale.

No not near Indy, it is in Mount Meridian.... Basicly just take 40 west for about 40-45 minutes and turn left on CoRd 550 E and it's maybe a mile down 550. You can't miss it, real easy to get to from our area (I drive past M. Meridian to go back to the family home) You could also take 70 to the Cloverdale exit, get off at that exit and go right on 231 torwards Greencastle, take 231 to the intersection of 231/40 (Watch this intersection!!!!! Trust me, hazardous.. This is where my wreck was) and go east on 40 to Mount Meridian and you would be turning right onto 550 East. As far as landmarks, the CoRd is basicly directly across from a Christmas tree farm.

We are counting all our pennies to see if we can come up. We have done several of the Wicks schools at different tracks and I really enjoy the environment of them. You proceed at YOUR pace. Whether you are comfortable driving really really fast or not, you improve on your driving skills.

Our problem is stretching the dollars for the King's Island jaunt, another Wicks school at Little Talledega and Mini Meet East at Dublin, Ohio on the weekends following.

I understand! Still trying to figure out how to do Formula 1 and King's Island all in the same weekend! Time wise and $$.

Ok, just got a reply on the question of what clubs the discounted price is given to.

"We discount to all Mini clubs."

So if I understand it correctly, you just need to be a member of any MINI/Mini club for the discount!

Think I will be signing up for this!!

Technically in Mt. Meridian, I believe. http://putnampark.com/

It's about 20 minutes West of you (in Avon). Seems like a pretty nice facility; I've been down there to spectate at a motorcycle trackday.

To clarify, it's a two day school, so according to the web site the cost is $375/425 for club/other.

There are many other schools held at Putnam Park. We (Hoosier Chapter BMW CCA) held ours last weekend (was $350), and the Buckeye and Bluegrass Chapters will have theirs in May and June repectively. The Audi Club and other organizations also hold schools there.

Putnam Park is a very fun and safe 10 turn technical track that's well suited to cars that handle well. It's an ideal venue for people new to track driving, but still challenging and interesting for the more experienced.

To see exactly where it's located, go to http://tinyurl.com/9xxk3 or for more info see the track's web site.

If anyone is interested in doing the driving school let me know. Phil has contacted me and asked me to do the tech inspections. Also will do the standard brake fluid changes and anything else you may need.

Phil has also said if enough people are interested he will do is safe driving class that weekend also. Let me know and we will start a list.
