Im goin to the LA area this Saturday to meet Peter at M7 and pick up some parts from my car. Ill be leaving early in the morning to head down there, and I will PROBABLY meet up with a few of the MINI guys down there for some BEERS and maybe their run if I am early enough.... so, any takers?

 

Such a deal! I would love to hitch a ride, but have family over this weekend. The photo of your MINI on NAM inspired me to order mine in PS/B w/black stripes, but I was too cheap to get the aero kit and driving lights. So it won't look as nifty as yours. I think it is going to be delivered in Santa Clara next month in Capt Charlie's caravan. Have a great road trip.

1: You know my car is PW/B right?
2: You know my car does NOT have the aero kit right?

and on a final note, get the PIAA lights.... cheaper and better lemme know when you get your car. Im in santa clara also right off of 101 and montague in those new rivermark apartments

 

Sorry. The PS was a typo (and I usually edit my posts!). I don't even know if PS correlates to a MINI color--Pinky Spam. Also, since you pointed it out I see your car does not have an aero kit, but the scoop and grills have been blackened. Very nice. I will look into the PIAA lights, but worry about their being vandalized in the neighborhoods I frequent. My car will be among 7 coming from Classic MINI in May. The transporter will probably touch down on the University of Santa Clara campus. TheFutureQueenofNebraska might be able to join us. I am sure there will be an announcement on NAM for NorCal folks. Thanks for the clarification.

 

I'll probably see you on the road going in the opposite direction. I will be heading up to Marin to visit family Saturday morning.

Amazin'. I did not know Wanda was black (except that is what your description says, duh). I never looked below the Smokin' the Dragon advert and assumed your car was the one in the cartoon.

Thanks to you and JCampos the PIAA lights will be included in my list of things to do. First I will indulge in one of NAM's favorite past times--shopping for wheels and tires (my car will be equipped with R84s that I feel are too contemporary looking and I am becoming dissuaded from my favorite R84s because of their weight--and yet the roads in my 'hood are mine fields and have been a challenge for my long suffering Geo Tracker. However my 'hood is one of the few places where my Geo is faster than M3s and Porsches; and one afternoon an eggplant color Lamborghini Diablo convertible as it was inching along and, I bet, cursing.).

Ah, to be in LA again--city of dreams and nightmares. One reason I am getting the MINI is so the drive to LA is no longer such torture.

That's funny because the first thing I thought of was how come that Acura is still on his tale.

That is the first time I have been up there in a car. Usually I am on a motorcycle or bicycle. That road sees very little traffic and I was surprised to see another MINI especially one I recognized.

Magnaflow would be alright. It's Toby Keith or any other country pop that I couldn't take. No offense to any country pop stars or fans.

 

Ive got about 10.5 gigs of music on my i-pod to listen to. Lets see... theres stuff like dave matthews and jack johnson, and theres also stuff like korn and rage against the machine. Oh, and Ive got some michael jackson and vanilla ice for the fun times.... and if the need arises, "highway to the danger zone" is also on it.

Ill be leaving early early early Saturday (early early early to me is 6 or 7 ) morning and we WILL be installing the parts at Peter's place.
