Talking about rear brakes here.
What does it mean when your outside pads wear faster then your inside pads? Anything ?

Thanks

Stuck caliper perhaps? Caliper not *sliding* properly on pins causing the outside pad to stay in contact with the rotor.

Any photos?

Have you changed pads before? Putting new pads on used rotrs that have not been turned can cause a little of this. Is this a drastic difference or just slight? there are also two pins on each caliper that allow it to slide together. Putting a little lube of the pins may help as well.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I ordered a set of brass bushings this morning so I'm hopping that this is in fact the problem.

The wear difference is not huge, but visually noticable. One side (of the car) is worse then the other.

This is the way the brakes wear on my civic as well, perhaps it's caliper design? On pad stationary, while one pad does the squeezing? I dont know about the mini's calipers, but with the civics on side gets pushed on by a piston, while the other just stays put. That is what I thought caused my wear differences...
