WTB Black OEM wheel bolts

I noticed at the dealer that several wheel styles have exposed bolts, and those bolts are a nice BLACK, unlike the chromate gold that I have under the dust covers of my R84s

I just switched to Koseis, and I can't justify the cost of a stud set yet, but if anyone who has switched has 16 black wheel bolts lying around, and wants to get rid of them for cheap, I'm your man!

You might want to try the dealer. I picked mine up for about $50. Also, check the NAM sponsor Pilo Racing. I believe he may have lugbolts for a little cheaper.

Ask an installer

You may ask an installer/technician at the dealership.

When I had my Works kit installed, I walked back to talk with the installer and see my car in progress. I saw a lug bolt on the ground near my car, and stooped down to pick it up. I asked the installer if it came off my car, and he said "No, I have hundreds of them lying around. I'll give you as many as you want" and offered me a whole bag of them he had on his workbench.

At the time, I didn't see the need for them, so I declined his offer.

Might be worth a try...

Ask your dealer if he'll swap for your yellow bolt. When I got wheels with exposed bolt, I called the dealer, he said just bring in the yellow ones and he'd swap for black ones. He did!!!

I've got some good condition black ones that I will sell for pretty cheap.

I also have a set of chrome plated bolts.

But I would look into these instead:

The detail guy at my dealership gave me some of those, they're a matte black. But no on/off tool. My MINI tuner has the tool, so they're off for now.
