AirBag light woes?

Recently I had an Air Bag warning light on my dash go on and stay on. I took it to the Service Dept and they fixed a passenger seat belt sensor and things seem to be OK so far. For a few weeks the air bag light would go on in the morning then by the end of the day go off. Some days it would be fine all day.

For anyone in Hawaii/US that has had trouble with the light coming back on and then needing to disable the light as decided by the dealership then read this-

Stay safe out there.

Holy Moly! A dealership should NEVER deactivate a warning light as that defeats the purpose of the light. Also, deactivating the airbag light could put the driver and passengers in peril.

On the BMW side, there have been problems with the seatbelt latches on the M Coupes. Apparently, if it senses a differential in electrical current, the warning light will trigger. I have also been informed by a BMW tech that the latch also houses a small explosive charge, so it can be difficult to have the part shipped here.
