Birmingham B-Roads

hey guys, I am always on the look out for new curvy roads. As many of you know, although there are some in Birmingham, there arent that many. Please share the roads you commonly motor on. Maybe it will help me find a road I havent found yet!

I always drive on roads such as-
Grants Mill/Sicard Hollow
The whole Altamont Area
Smyr Road
And all over mtn brook.

I have also heard that the desoto carverns area/childersburg has some good roads.

Since I live on Montclair, I do love the roads in the "altamont area" if that is the crestwood area over the hill behind the hospital. Clairmont Avenue where it is divided can be a real rollercoaster!

Late at night, if you hear a supercharger whining and tires squealing in that area, It wasn't me!

Oh I know where the divided roads are However, when Im up in the altamont area, I always like to tear up roads like altamont road and cliff road. You know where the "altamont hairpin" is, by the school? (one of my favorites) There are several hairpins back there, and also many off roads of altamont that take you to the top of the mountain. Lots of those houses there have exotics in there driveway. And finally, have you found that alley-way, between cliff road and altamont?

Maybe we need to meet up some night and play together (at safe and sane legal speeds of course!)

I would love to! Im stuck at boarding school till March 18, but after then im free. I love altamont, but hey, like I said there are other roads as well, like grants mill.

I still am deprived of MINIdom, but if you still want to do it, although not the same, Im sure I can borrow a friends car that is capable of keeping up.

It's not worth a special trip just to drive this short road but I work in Riverchase off the Riverchase Parkway. The Parkway is a short curvy road that I get to drive everyday (fun at around 50MPH-not that I would personally know cause that would be speeding lol). It runs from near the I-65 Valleydale Road exit to Hwy 31S. Makes a fun shortcut if you are on Hwy 31 & need to get to the interstate but want to avoid the traffic headache of the Valleydale/Hwy 31 intersection.

conquering the new roads

Im sure many of you already now about this, but maps.google.com (click satelite for arial view) is a great way to find curvy roads, short cuts, places you never new existed, and answers to "what is back there?" Great website. A great site, especially if you have nothing to do in the office or the classroom.
