Price is 1700$ US for all of it + shipping.
The head had delivery miles on it and was completely done by Larry. No core needed and you can sell your head and intake manifold after.

SOLD

1 used 12lbs flywheel from Mini Mania with used Spec pressure plate and new Spec Stage 2 clutch.
Price is 500$ US + shipping. If I have a buyer for the flywheel and pressure plate + clutch for 250$ US each + shipping I will seperate.

SOLD

1 used Quaife. This one is already reserved! If there is interest I will let you know next week.
Price is 800$ US and I believe it is the only one available in the US for now. Quaife is raising the prices btw.

I thought we had an understanding?!?

Alex, I thought we had an understanding? I was not able to respond to your PM over the weekend but had the administrators forward my request that you wait until today (Monday) so I could respond. It is in your own statement below. Thanks for making up "MY" mind and good luck with your new business

Sid,

you are right....but I waited until Sunday evening and a club member bought other stuff if he got the Quaife that evening.
At that point I have to say.....I think about myself first.

Sorry,
Alex

I know someone who has a slightly used Quaife ready to sell. It was run for two track sessions.
It's sitting on a shelf in Long Island. Give me an email if you want the details:
steve@minisontop.com I'm not making any $$, just helping out.

Sid,

I did send you a PM telling you that you need to decide Saturday evening. I had 4 people waiting. I take the chance that you say "No" on Monday and not you.
I told everybody that they had to wait and I did give you the choice on Saturday as I told you that you would get first dibs on it and I did get the PM from DiD. Yet you still asked me to wait even though I told you to make up your mind.

I would say....too bad for you if you can not make up your mind.

Speaking of changing your mind, what were the meanings of "reserved" and "already sold" in your original post?

Alex, Not a great way to run a business. if you plan on making transactions over the internet, then you must consider that you won't have real time communication. You must consider that some folks won't check email regularly or that there may be technical difficulties responding. If you make a deal, you need to stick to it even if someone is making you a better more immediate offer. BTW, if you had so many interested parties, I'm sure they would still have been there if the deal with Msfitoy fell apart. Think about the precedence you are setting. Anyway, Good Luck.

radman is right, it's ur responsibility as a seller to take into account the lack of real time communications. but instead, u go ahead and sell a "reserved" or "already sold" item behind someone's back. considering your judgement in this situation (or lack there of), i'm extremely confident you'll be able to turn off plenty of future customers for any of your parts

IMO, a local with cash in hand always trumps an intenet buyer who called dibs.

It's not like you had already sent the money. I've sold tens of thousands in car parts on the internet lately and most people that say they want something never actually send any money.

If thats the case then Alex should have never advertised it as "This one is already reserved! If there is interest I will let you know next week." He explicitly stated he would wait until the next week. It should have been advertised as reserved... unless someone local was interested...

It doesn't sound like MSFITOY simply "called dibs". AlexN made a gentleman's agreement giving MSFITOY the privilege of first refusal. AlexN then reneged on the deal. Poor form.

You know.......
I offered it to him on Friday morning.
I did send him an email stating that he needs to make a decision Saturday evening. Sunday morning I get a PM from DiD that he still wants to wait to make up his mind. Sunday evening I sold the Quaife because the person took more parts if he got the Quaife. I guess everybody here is rich enough to just say.....sorry....can not do even after I told him to make up his mind 12 hours before and getting a clear answer that he still does not know.

I gave him the chance and he still decided to wait.

so, instead of obeying a gentlemans agreement, you just sold it to the person that could make u the most profit and get the most stuff outta ur hands. wow, guess this quote really is true
At that point I have to say.....I think about myself first.

2 cents more...

Gentleman's Agreement? Come on. How about being straight forward and clear. Some of these items are selling for $1700 bucks!

I'm assuming everyone's a decent person, but really. There are no Gentleman's Agreeements over the internet. Think about it.

Next time just spell it out. Payment sent by Sunday at 6pm, or it goes back on the market. First $$$ gets the part. or whatever.

Doesn't anybody watch People's Court anymore?

What is you beef?

Before selling it I direclty asked him to make a decision so he still had the chance to say yes or no. I clearly indicated that I had 4 potential buyers in my PM that he received and replied to thru DiD. He still could not make up his mind even though I asked him to. So I still asked him before I sold it.

You can quote me as much as you want.......but I guess you forget about that I actually asked him prior to me selling and I did get a reply from him.

I still have that PM.

congrads on the ENdyn

congrads to Endyn buyer. I spoke with Josh today and they just finished a head and have 2 more in process.

Their Endyn camshaft should be out soon...this year...as are the cylinders. I held the cylinders with my own hands so they are real and 99.9% complete and ready for production.

I got to see the camshaft as well. IT comes out of R&D soon...sorry I just realised I kinda hijacked this thread....
