How it works:
The EdgeGuard process is a proprietary process of applying a clear proprietary 4 mil UV and abrasion resistant plastic film barrier to a windshield edge to substantially reduce the risk of windshield edge cracking. It works by protecting the most crack-susceptible areas of the windshield- the outer 3” to 4” edge- with a suitable material. The film is cut into vehicle model specific patterns using a high-speed cutting machine under computer control. The six pattern segments typically measure two to four inches in width. The patterns have an adhesive layer that enables the rapid application to the perimeter of the windshield; installation typically takes 20 minutes.
