The most fantastic thing happened yesterday!

After much consternation, I finally managed to get my new 05 MFSW changed to an original version MFSW with the buttons to control the radio/cd player on the back of the wheel.

It appeared to start with, to be not possible to do, but with the brilliance of the service department at Keeler MINI in Latham, Albany, the job was done - and I might add - very quickly!!! They did plenty of research to ensure that the change over could be done, by taking apart another 05MCS so that they knew for sure that they could do it before I went up there.

I really dislike the new design. For me it is totally impractical, and inferior to the original design. The original design is so easy to operate, and I now do not have to move my hands or eyes in order to change the volume, mode, track, position on track, radio station, or tune radio station.

I am SO SO very happy, and if there is anyone else out there who has changed from an older MINI to the 05 and is equally as disappointed as I was with the new design, MFSW, let it be known that it is possible to change to the original brilliant one. See this:
