A new thread opened on MINI2 regarding jackets. There was a question about a jacket on eBay..I thought it was tacky.

Then a responder posted this link http://rtretro.com/jacket_history.htm to a company who's making repro racing jackets just like the ones ...some of us...wore back in the late 60's. The MINI logo is available

Peter, saw your "tacky" comment in MINI Talk and lol- I almost commented there! What about the poor blokes who had already purchased them and then after reading your comment,were afraid to respond, knowing that you thought that they were "tacky"! Or the guy who asked the question in the first place!

Anyway back to the matter at hand...the retro jackets do look cool- I was thinking it might be a great gift for any classic car (or retro) owner!

 

Actually..my comment was posted on MINI2 and I said they appeared to be..."a might garish" and that in response to someone asking for an opinion before he bought.

I stand by that. They look like something you'd see on NOPI Tunervision.

But..having said that...it takes all kinds and I'd like to point out that I didn't refer to them as "Chavtastic"
