I bought this 2017 last June (2025). It drove fine for the 3k miles we put on it between then and January when we got rear ended. I just got it back from the body shop and drove it home ok. Then I went to take the wife to the airport and the tread on the inner part of my left front tire started separating! I dont think it was from the body shop as they were only working on the back end. What could cause this to happen?

It did need an alignment as I could feel to pull a little to the left, but it wasnt a bad pull. I figure a bad alignment would simply cause it to wear unevenly, not detatch the tread from the tire. What else could have cause this?



So I know I need to replace this tire, but I figure I would replace the other front tire as well so they would be even, and get an alignment as well.



Any tire recommendations? It is 195/55/R16. I live in Florida so no need for ice/snow, but I do enjoy driving it as it should be driven so a tire that can grip on dry/wet well, corner well and give a nice ride would be best. We dont put a ton of miles on it anyway so long life isnt much of a concern. Any tires fit this bill for under $100?
