No power to headunit or tach

I’m installing a complete aftermarket system with headunit and all new speakers. When I was testing my speaker wires I accidentally had the door woofer on one side touching the metal of the door and it’s sit down the headunit and tach has no back lighting. I found a couple blowin fuses and replaced them. After replacing the fuses I still have no power to headunit or tach. The fuse in the headunit wasn’t blown.

Any help would be much appreciated

What year R55?

TO 11/2008
Check these fuses:

F37 (5A): Tachometer

F21 (10A): Central Information Display (the center instrument/speedometer area), MINI joystick and radio

F34 (5A): Car Access System (CAS) - vital for providing power and data wake-up signals to the cluster

F5, F8, F47, and F48: Footwell Module - manages interior lighting and communication for the gauges

FROM 12/2008
Check these fuses:

F29 (5A): Tachometer & OBD II socket

F23 (10A): Central Information Display, MINI joystick, and Radio

F36 (5A): Car Access System (CAS)

F4, F8, F52, and F53: Footwell Module

--> At each installed fuse, use a multimeter to measure voltage at BOTH test tabs with ignition key ON. You should read ~battery voltage at BOTH tabs.
