Turbo coolant feed line

2010 R56 S

Anyone else have major leaking problems with the 90 degree elbow that connects to the bottom of the coolant reservoir tank? Seems like every time I move it out of the way to change the oil, it begins to leak and refuses to stop. You can't buy the elbow alone and have to buy the entire unit, which is like $80 or more. Any ideas or luck changing out that fitting or switching to a aluminum tank? I've replaced it 3 times in just 2.5 years. Finally got smart by replacing the plastic water pipe with a aluminum one.

I had to replace mine not long ago, this is the same hose:

It wont matter if your tank is aluminum or plastic, I have both and when the seal is slightly damaged, it will leak regardless. I even tried adding Orings inside the hose coupling, but that didnt do much of anything.

This is the one for my year and model. But i only need the plastic fitting or to modify it to eliminate that weak 90 degree elbow.

I just had this issue and was able to replace the plastic T connector with brass from HomeDepot. $5 and 3 hose clamps.
