Hello! I have owned my 2003 Mini Cooper S manual R53 for about a year now. Right after purchasing, it needed a new water pump as it was dropping coolant quickly, which I had my local Mini dealer fix (for almost $3k). It started leaking coolant again recently, so I took it to dealer to check out, and they said it needed a new coolant expansion tank (BM17-13-7-529-273) and t-fitting (BM17-12-7-518-614). They also said I need to replace my oil filter housing gasket (BM11-42-7-509-211) and o-ring (BM11-42-7-509-261). I attached photos here showing the t-fitting they pointed out to replace, but my buddy told me that the t-fittings don't fail, the hoses do. Is that correct? And if so, does anyone know what the part number is for that hose I pointed out in the photo? I also thought originally that the black tank next to the expansion tank was the oil filter housing, but I believe now that it is the power steering pump. Is it normal for those to leak? And if I need to replace the hose under it, does anyone have the part number for that? I did order a new gasket and o-ring for the oil filter housing, and I saw a video for how to get access to the oil filter housing to replace that seems pretty tricky, any advice? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
That T fitting number 10 and is part of the coolant line and goes to the heater core. Just copy and paste the 11 digit part in our site like this and you will see every part. 17127518615 example: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/17127518615/
Tell us where you live - maybe we have experience with a good independent. You have a bunch of stuff going on there that is all related.

Yeah - I am surprised that the dealer would even look at our cars that old. I'm even more surprised they even let you roll into the lot!
You will soon discover their hand in your back pocket (wallet), =$$$.
