Does anyone know where the automatic climate sensor is located on the F56 series? I would assume in the vicinity of the cabin filter housing?

 

It's under the windshield cowl -- the large section, the one you have to remove the wiper arms completely to remove. Behind the engine, in front of the firewall, in a pretty awkward spot unless you are effectively laying on top of the engine yourself. Reachable but really annoying.

What has you looking for it? I had a code for it once but it turned out to be spurious, driven by other electrical issues -- the sensor was fine and the code citing it went away when I fixed the general electrical issue.
