I got the new iPhone yesterday and tried to pair with CarPlay today in my '18 JCW, but no joy. My iPhone 14 Pro Max paired and worked flawlessly for years, but I cannot get the 17 to pair.

I connect my phone's WiFi to the MINI, have BT turned on and go thru the steps on both ends (CarPlay and my iPhone). I get a code on both sides and accept, but I got the message "iPhone 17 is not compatible with CarPlay". Like huh?!

I don't have anything listed in "known devices" to delete/remove, tried removing my car's WiFi from the phone an starting over, but no luck.

Any help is appreciated!!

 

I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t think you connect to the car WiFi first….

 

Happy to say I finally got the 17 Pro Max connected, Apple CarPlay is working as expected.
