Hi there -
I have an odd error coming up and could use some guidance on how to troubleshoot it. My HI-FI system only functions in CD mode, no radio or aux, sometimes the display is missing pixels and I get an error code of E192 “A device has shutdown due to over temperature (error_temp_shutdown)” out of Bimmerlink. Sometimes I’ll see a garbled temp shutdown on the LED screen on the head unit too.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the old alpine screen is toast. The screens are known to fail.
