R60 Anyone know someone in the Milwaukee WI Area
Who can replace a turbo on a 2016 CMS All 4. International Autos Dealer quoted $5500, Indie Shop in Kenosha didnt seem to want to mess with it, Quoted $5000, had higher end cars in their lot. Rest of the car is in pretty decent shape but I cant stomach putting $5k into the turbo (Just did $3k for timing and VANOS sprockets. 98k miles. Thank you community. ECS Tuning seems to have the parts for under $2k tops so $3k labor is that legit?. Unfortunately if I was a little healthier I would try it but .... yea.
I can post a pic, appears to be leaking oil at the clamps between hot and intake side (looks charred/black). Dealer at last oil change said some oil in the charge pipe going to the intercooler. It spools, and makes boost but I dont know what to do next.
Yea, looks like that main clamp that's not available from MINI on its own. I worry if you tighten that clamp a hair it might bust it. Also you will have a little oil going into the intercooler. Its like a light coating, same thing at the turbo inlet. Anymore then that and something is leaking into the turbo. Its hard to tell unless you dig into things and look.
