Amount of oil after oil/filter change. 2.0l S

I just changed the oil and filter on my 2022 F56 mini cooper S (2.0 liter). First time for me. Everything went well. I added 5.25 liters of oil. When I checked the level after about a 15 minute drive it says level is ok but it shows the level right at the MIN mark. I’m checking in my garage which is pretty level. I checked it again, same result, right at the MIN mark. I added another 0.25 liter and checked again. It went up very slightly above that MIN level. I went for about a 20 minute drive and checked again. Still just barely above MIN.
I’m hesitant to add more oil. I’m at 5.5 liters now. Why is it reading so near MIN with more than the recommended amount of oil in it?
Do I need to go for a longer drive to get a good reading? The readings I’m getting have been consistent.
Thanks,
Terry

My Mistake

Well, this is embarrassing, but I'll post the answer here so that maybe it helps someone else avoid the same mistake....
I was mis-reading the oil gauge. I thought that the small gap next to the MIN mark was the level it was reporting. A little close look shows that the level is actually at the MAX mark.
I blame glare on the screen when I read it, but in truth it was just a stupid mistake.
