Umbrella?

I've slipped down the rabbit hole of the umbrella storage space "under the loading sill in front of the warning triangle".

I do see a space there that could fit a small umbrella (about 17" long). It appears as if there might be a plastic cover for it or perhaps some sort of retainer for the umbrella. Any help as to what the retainer is?

Did the car come with an umbrella?

Can anyone shed light on this?

I see official Mini umbrella's for sale such as this (https://parts.bramanmotorsbmw.com/oe...RJAhKErIMsFu2N).

From what I can gather, this umbrella is much shorter than 17".

Yes, I know, there are more important issues, but I'm really curious about this. I have a 2009 base Clubman.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for going through to the trouble of looking into this!

You've answered my question. I have the stowage space for the warning triangle, which I mistook for the umbrella stowage.

The umbrella stowage is an option that I, apparently do not have.
