Bimmerlink or BimmerUtility to "Reset transmission oil wear values" for DCT MCS?
Curious, as Im considering moving from my 2014 MCS manual to a 2022 MCS witth DCT. Now that DCT MCS's are getting up there in miles, Im reading on forums that its critical to do a DCT Fluid change every 50k miles or so. While the drain and fill part seems simple enough, its the software side that's leaving me a bit stumped.
Im reading that one must begin with: The transmission oil temperature must be between 20 °C and maximum 40 °C. Please carry out the "Transmission oil adjustment” service function with the diagnosis system.
Then wrap up with: Tighten the oil filler plug (1) with a tightening torque of 43Nm. Carry out the"Reset transmission oil wear values" service function with the diagnosis system.
Do you guys know if Bimmerlink or BimmerUtility can perform these "service functions"? If not, looks DCT Fluid change seems it would be a dealer-only maintenance item whice I've researched would cost about $1,000!! I much prefer to DIY my maintenance so Im wondering if I'd be able to with the software we have at our disposal.
Thanks for any insight you can provide!
