ABS, Traction Control and Brake Lights Coming On / Car going into Limp Mode

Per the title the ABS, Traction Control and Brake Light warning lights have been coming on intermittently in my 2013 hardtop S. They usually come on after a few minutes of driving, go back off, and then show up again. I haven't noticed any issues with how the car drives or brakes.
Based on some research, it sounds like a bad speed / ABS sensor may be the issue. I've made an appointment with my mechanic but its 2 weeks out. They are apparently very busy.
Today the yellow 1/2 check engine type light came on and the car went into "limp mode". When I stopped the car and started it again this had cleared.
Historically this has meant some issue with the engine.
My question - can a problem with a sensor ( assuming that is what it is ) cause the car to go into limp mode? Can I eek out two more weeks before having the car looked at?

The best piece of advice i can give you is get a bmw/mini specific scan tool. Bimmerlink and a bluetooth dongle cheapest route, i carry my schwaben with me in the glove box. off that horse and on to the other, i personally wouldnt drive it around with the half check engine light, there is a reason why its there and you are limited on how you can drive the car for a reason. Driving it to the mechanic, cool, everyday probably not so cool. Having the scan tool would honestly help us help you, not trying to be funny, but you cant assume anything with these. Live Data helps a lot, especially with those wheel speed sensors, and the fuel readings.

I can't agree more with the "safe mode" half engine and my OCD gets the best of me for an unexplained !. That is why I love Bimmerlink! It is on my phone, which is always with me and on my android head unit (also have it on a tablet as well) so I am never without unless I take my K+DCAN cable out of the car. Did that once so bought another cheap one that works fine so that will not happen again.

I prefer the tablet if I am doing live data, more screen area.

I also have Bimmercode but do not use it as much now that I have become accustomed to NCS Expert.

I know BimmerGeeks Protool can also do live data/read errors/code but I haven't messed with it much. I tried it and it couldn't get it to read my vehicle order. Protool, is very specific on which BT/WIFI/K+DCAN cables can be used.
