R60 P0336 + trouble starting + multiple dash lights + limp mode
P0336 + trouble starting + multiple dash lights + limp mode
Hey all,
Have a 2013 Countryman S All 4. 73K miles.
Getting a P0336 Code --Crankshaft Position Sensor code. Car is in limp mode. Also Getting a 4x4 light, brake light, traction light. It is hard to start, takes multiple attempts of lots of cranking. When it does start, runs at 1200 RPM/doesn't settle.
Having a hard time finding posts on 2013+ models having this issue. One other post, the OP replaced the sensor, still had the same issues. Had the reluctor wheel go bad , requiring a labor intensive job to repair this.
Any other ideas or suggestions? Could it be just the sensor, and will that then solve the rest of the lights ?

Ignition coil / coil pack issue
I had the same problem on my 2014 cooper s model. It turned out to be the coilpack on cyl 3! It will act like there is alsorts wrong and flash up other codes but in the end this coilpack just sent it's ECU in a twist
