Have a 06 cooper s, runs on ether but it doesn't get fuel. It has pressure but doesn't receive it. It had a crank shaft position sensor replaced but it ran then died. They haven't messed with it since. Throws codes P1617, 1692, 1693, and 0335. There's an "engine guardian", I looked up what it was but there wasn't much on it. Someone had taken the kicker panel out and a whole bunch of wires had fallen out plugged into it. Hoping its not a wiring issue. If anyone knows what could be wrong and or has some advice, please let me know. Thank you

P1617 = Electronic Throttle Control Driver Failure. The driver is probably in the throttle body, but could be in the DME. I'm not sure on the R53.
P1692 = Monitoring of Processor Calculations, Error for final request for disable power stages of MTC & IV. (no idea here)
P1693 = Monitoring of Processor Calculations, Error for temporary request for disable power stages of MTC & IV. (also no idea here)
P0335 = No crankshaft position sensor signal.

If you don't have a crankshaft position sensor, the tachometer won't move when you crank the engine, and your fuel injectors won't open because the DME has no idea when to open and close the injectors.
