Mini Cooper S - R52 - PowerFlex LCA bushing installed backwards

Hello guys,

2am here, planning for tomorrow.

Installed LCA bushings the wrong way (both, don't ask me how) , any chance of getting them out with a press tomorrow without destroying them ? I can get a press from a friends shop.
If i try to use a threaded rod with washers will i get lucky? I have the setup to press them manually, although i used ANOTHER press with ease.

Searched many threads on google but found no actual backwards install with exactly the same issue, only the outer ring is pressed at the moment like below.

Hopefully someone gives me hope.

While you already have the brackets in hand (not on the car), I think ( from my own experience), the bushings weren't so difficult to remove/push back out. Almost by hand.

I ran into a situation where after the bushings were already installed on the car; I was later working on the replacing the ball joints when the control arm and outer pf "sleeve" slipped out of the center/inner bushing.
The only way I could reinsert the control and outer bushing was to press out the inner bushing from the bracket (still mounted to the car).
To press out the inner bushing from the bracket - I used a 2-1/4" diam (?) piece of pipe to fit beyond the outer lip of the inner bracket bushing, and the threaded rod with large washers that is commonly used for improvised installation.

To be honest, I was surprised how easy it was to press out the inner bushing while mounted to the car using this method.
These Powerflex bushings (especially the black) are very tough and resilient.. You should have any issue damaging them installing or uninstalling.

Best of luck.

Edit: Now corrected outer (sleeve) vs inner bracket bushing.

Just to give feedback here, next day i went to a friends shop and he could take them out on a press and put them back in the right way.

They went in fine but one of them had a bit of damage as below, still installed on car and seems fine.
Thanks for trying to help@Here2Go
