N18 Silicon intake boot on an N14 engine, will it work?

Hey guys, new here! I bought my mini about 6 months ago and am looking to install a catch can. Long story short I am going through a quart of oil every 400 miles or once a week. I am looking at cheap N14 silicon intake boots from MAF to the turbo and they are all really stubby and will be hard to mount the sensor in between with the fittings running to the catch can. All the N18 boots have it run down to the turbo inlet which is more like the stock boot and will give me a lot more room to run hoses and the sensor. I am assuming the turbos are relatively the same but does anyone know if the ODs of the MAF and the turbo change from N14-N18?

Check and or replace your PCV valve first would be my recommendation. My 2012 Coupe was doing a qt. at about 800 miles. Replaced the PCV valve and now I might add a qt. in 5000.

Watch a video on how to do it so you don't damage your valve cover.
