Speedo display screen died

Hi
I pulled my engine out about a year ago for a rebuild and only just put it
back in the car due to health problems.
Everything works as it should apart from one problem.
The display screen on the speedo does not light up and i cannot see anything.
Everything else works on the speedo.
Illumination fine as is all the warning lights.
Was wondering if it could be corrosion on the ECU plugs as there was a little
but i thought i cleaned it good enough.
The display on the tac is fine so i thought the would rule out corrosion on the ecu plugs.
thank you al in advance.

Scan the kombi module for faults.

Stupid question but I need to ask. Have you cycled through the light settings on the left side control tree?
