Shudder between 3rd and 4th gear Aisin transmission solved

For about a year my Clubman (2008, 78,000 miles) would occasionally shudder when climbing a gentle hill at around 2000 RPM. I'd done a partial ATF drain and fill at 40K and at 60K. Thinking it was the transmission acting up, I did 3 more flush and fills, the last one making sure the transmission fluid level was perfect. Still had that shudder and was getting worse. No codes or pending codes from my MINI specific scan tool. I read on a different MINI site that a bad coil could result in a shudder. The spark plugs were replaced at 40K but not the coils. So I ordered a set from ECS tuning (Bavarian brand). After I put the new coils in the shudder completely went away. Thought this might help somebody experiencing the same problem.
