High Beam Problems

My 2009 Base Hatch has aftermarket projector headlights with LED H11 bulbs. With the ignition on, but the engine not running the headlights work perfectly. Low beam and high beam work just as you would expect. However, once I start the engine, the high beams will cease to function properly and then not at all after about 20seconds of the engine being started. I've traded out bulbs to verify it wasn't the bulbs. What changes with ignition on/engine off vs. ignition on/engine on? I can always put halogen bulbs in and I'm guessing that will solve the issue, but I'd prefer to run the LED's.

I guess I should get my hands on some halogen bulbs and see. I have not tested that way.
