Valve Stem Seals

Hey Mini gang,

I have the classic blue smoke after long idle indicating valve stem seals are starting to go. I'm getting things together to do the job soon. My question is, on a 2009 Non-S model with 130K miles, what else should I worry about while I have things apart. Is it worth doing timing chain/tensioner/guides or some combination? I don't believe I have any symptoms/noises that indicate chain issues, but I know these engines are prone to some problems with the timing chain. Thinking maybe it's a good idea to replace while things are most of the way apart.

I would do the chain kits, valve stem seal, carbon blasting is not a big thing on the Non S Models, but it can be looked at. Also inspect other things when you have it apart.
